CHRISTIAN VIEW OF “MATRIX”
Abstract
There are different ways for passing of religious ideas. Church ways are: text, iconographic, liturgical. Secular ways are: hymns, spiritual guitar songs, cartoons, cinema. The genre of fantastic thriller is an extremely unusual form of Christian apology. However, if you get away from it and think over the idea of the movie «Matrix», it is easy behind unusual way to see the true Christian ideas. This article attempts to religious-philosophical understanding of «Matrix» plot structure. The problem is through habitual to discover new, to offer reflections on global issues of our existence. Consumerism or sacrifice? What is christening? Slave luxury or begging at liberty: what is better? What is freedom? What is self-knowledge? What is needed for the resurrection? Is it possible to sacrifice one person for the sake of the common good? What is the price of salvation? These and similar questions are offered for discussion in «The Christian view of «Matrix»
