Abstract

The article shows that computational approach nowadays is a set of philosophical, psychological, neurophysiological theories and concepts based on a theory suggesting that every object under study is subject to quantitative patterns. The introduction of the computational turn notion to the history of philosophy resulted from methodological changes, the emergence of a new computational apparatus for philosophical studies; philosophical object field expansion, connected to the informational technologies development and informational society establishment. The article examines the influence of the computational approach on the understanding of intelligence and consciousness
