Abstract

This research is aimed to analyze the topoi of living space in the context of the development of modern information technologies and the Internet of things in the process of moving towards man and technology convergence. The author analyzes some phenomenological aspects of topoi of living space: home, consumption, some aspects of political life, body and corporality. The author highlights the trends of universalization and customization in the framework of the existence of topoi and shows their dialectically contradictory nature in various segments of modern man’s life. In the framework of the topos «at home», the technologies of the Internet of things are analyzed and a partial loss of the intention of control is represented (which is associated with the autonomy of life supporting processes. The topos of consumption is suffered the transformation and correlated with the trend of needs customization, which goes to the plane of political life along with the tendency to strengthen control and calculability of individuals. Finally, the topos of the body and corporeality reveals the interaction of the trends of a certain technological universalism and customization. The author makes some futurological predictions and evaluate trends in the framework of topoi of living space, that take place on the way to technological singularity - the point of convergence of technology and man.
